Before Andrew's Plumbing install any new gas appliances to an existing home we always check for gas leaks.

If any gas leaks exist we will recommend that you upgrade your gas line. Also we check to make sure your gas line is the correct size. This is to ensure that your gas appliance will operate efficiently and safely.

• Make sure all stormwater pits are clear
• Ensure all gutters, Down pipes are clear of debrist; this will prevent flooding during storms
• Ensure all basement pumps are regularly serviced. At Andrew's Plumbing we are often called out for basement flooding
• At the first sign of a sewer blockage call Andrew's Plumbing during business hours to keep the clearing of the blockage more cost effective for you
• At Andrew's Plumbing we highly recommend replacing old rusted water pipes, again this will prevent any inconvenient emergency call outs
• Check your water pressure to ensure it does not exceed over 500kpa. If water pressure is greater at Andrew's Plumbing we recommend fitting a pressure limiting valve to prevent any stress to your pipe work.
• At the sign of a gas leak call Andrew's Plumbing to make sure any dangerous leak can be repaired
• Should you experience a burst hot water units after hours, The Andrew's Plumbing approach is to make the unit safe as soo as possible and then return during business hours to finalise the job... this approach is more cost effective for you
• In the event of a burst water pipe or gas leak, generally the water and gas meters are located at the front of properties, you should immediately shut these down until Andrew's Plumbing can attend and resolve the problem
