Stormwater Drainage Frankston South

Clay soil significantly slows water absorption and increases surface runoff. This means stormwater systems work harder during Melbourne's heavy rainfall periods. Properties may experience pooling around foundations or garden areas if drainage isn't properly designed for clay conditions.

South East Water manages street drainage and main infrastructure only. Homeowners remain responsible for all stormwater drainage on their property, including downpipes, drains, and connection points. Our network can help identify where responsibility begins and ends.

Most drainage issues can be attended within 24-48 hours. Emergency situations like severe flooding or blocked drains during storms often receive same-day service. Our network prioritises urgent drainage problems that could cause property damage.
